1. Summarize


1.1 Demand of diesel oil


As an important product refined from petroleum,diesel oil shares an upper proportion in the fuel structure of world and has become a main dynamic fuel. Diesel demand for the future becomes greater and greater along with the rapid trend in adopting diesel engine as vehicle power in the world.Resource of petroleum is drying up and awareness of environmental protection is improving,which promote greatly the development of alternative fuel to diesel and the application of fuel saving technology.


Diesel power has become a develop direction of automotive industry nowadays. Demand of world diesel would increse from 38% to 45% by 2010 according to some experts while supply is lack seriously. All of these provide an expansive space for the development of bio-diesel.


The supply and demand balance of diesel will be the focus problem in oil market development for a long time in our nation.The annual wastage was nearly 50,000,000 tons in 2000, 74,860,000 tons,which was 1.82 times of gasoline,in 2001.It was 76,620,000 tons in 2002 and 85,300,000 in 2005.It was forecasted that demand of diesel would be 100,000,000 tons, increased by 24% compared with the year of 2005, and 130,000,000 tons by 2015. It will increase by 10.4% every year.


The paradox between diesel and gasoline is even more prominent than ever before when western development is quickened and some important basic researches on national economy are started.It is essential that bio-diesel development should correspond to regulation of oil structure and improvement of proportion between diesel and gasoline.


Diesel is the main product in oil market and can be generally used for fuel of boiler and restaurant besides steamship,loading vehicle,power plant,train,irrigation and drainage,agricultural mechanism.The price of liquefied gasoline rises suddenly and sharply in big cities owing to the same lack and the usage of diesel fuel becomes more and more popular in restaurant,hotel and other food services.
    It was stated that the wastage of diesel in Restaurant & Food Services was nearly 10,000,000 tons in 2005.It was estimated that the annual wastage of deisel in Restaurant & Food Services in a city with one million population is more than 2,000 tons.Diesel-gasoline ratio is generally more than 2.0 in China and some provinces such as Yunnan,Guangxi,Guizhou are even more than 2.5.


In 2005,the total usage of diesel was as high as 140,000,000 tons, thereinto output was 100,000,000 and import was 40,000,000.The relationship between supply and demand was tense and large-area diesel shortage happened for many times in some places such as Guangdong,Guangxi,Hebei,Shanxi,Shandong,etc.The shortage has largely influenced development of national economy.The problem of diesel supply was worsened along with the increasing marketable demand in 2006.


1.2 Environmental protection


The diesel standard has been improved according to requirement of environmental protection at all times.Nowadays the auto output reaches about 50,000,000 each year and total quantity of auto including motorcycle used reaches about 1,000,000,000 all over the world.The wastage of diesel and gasonline increases with total quantity of auto increase and auto industry development and brings some problems such as pollution by tail gas.A great progress in improving fuel burning process and tail gas purification has been made near 20 years,but can not still been satisfied.To improve the performance of auto and the content of objectionable impurities in the tail gas, America,Europe and Japan Automobile Association brought up ¡°the quality standard of the world fuel oil regulations ¢󡯠as international automobile standard.


 Environmental protection compels China to take technology of petroleum substitute and standard of protection more stricter. Beijing, Shanghai and other big cities, measures of using natural gas instead of diesel to public traffic vehicles has been taken earlier,mainly due to environmental factors. At present,emissions of alternative fuel technologies, natural gas,coal,biomass energy,etc.,is about 40% less than oil fuel. According to the course of urbanization in our nation,there would be 40,000,000 population entering into city by 2020. Total quantity of auto would leap and urban environment suitable to human would not maintain without clean alternative fuel.It was calculated that 15 kg of gasoline and diesel were used for each auto every day,then 15,000 tons of gasoline and diesel,used for one millon auto,would exhaust oxygen contained in 183,380,000 cubic meter of air.The air would become gas only contains CO2 and N2 rather than O2.Heavier CO2,almost distributes near the ground,can accumulate as thick as 1.83 meters,even one hand higher than normal Chinese,within 100 square kilometers.


1.3 Present and future of diesel-fuel auto in China


Auto was first popular in America.The number of auto registered in America was 3,400,000 in 1916 and rose to 23,100,000 in 1929,accounted for 78% of total number all over the world.On the average,every 5 American owned a car.Compared with this,every 30 persons owned a car in England, every 33 in France,every 102 in German,every 702 in Japan and every 6130 in Russia.


After world war,American total quantity of auto was 25,000,000, ohly 2,000,000 more than 1929, in 1945.But American total quantity of auto rose to 40,000,000 five years later.Total quantity of auto all over the world reached 100,000,000 in the end of 1950¡¯s and doubled ten years later.It reached over 300,000,000 after 1980¡¯s and over 500,000,000 now.Every ten persons own a car in the world.However,global distributing of auto is imbalance.40% of total quantity is in America,every 1.3 persons own a car on the average,30% in Europe,every 2 persons own one,and China which accounts for one fifth of mankind only owns 2%.In addition,over 100,000,000 motorcycles are owned all over the world.


In 2006,output of auto in the whole country would reach over 7,000,000 which could be 45% as many as the number of advanced country. Then diesel-fuel cars added newly would be 3,150,000 and diesel added newly would be 6,300,000 tons calculated according to the wastage (2 tons) of one year.It is known that total quantity of auto is over 20,000,000 in China now and would reach 50,000,000 to 60,000,000 by 2010.At the appointed time,  domestic annual output of auto would reach over 10,000,000 and market of finished oil for auto would value hundreds of billion yuan.


Comparison of the quantity of diesel-fuel auto


Europe: Diesel vehicles account for about 20% of cars at the beginning of 90's and 40% in the end of 90's.Sales of Diesel vehicles accounted for over 45% of total cars sales in 2004. America: Diesel vehicles newly registered were 301,000 in 2000 and reached 470,000 in 2004. Japan: The car production of the country is the second in the world. Diesel vehicles account for near 10% of total cars. China: In 2004,sales of diesel vehicles were 12,654,only accounted for 0.6% of total sales,2,250,000.


Diesel vehicles grow fast abroad dueing to cost of fuel and European awareness of environmental protection.Nowadays the popularity rate of diesel vehicles surpass 40% in many European countries and even over 50% in Germany,France,Spain.BMW and Benz are all unalterable spreaders for diesel vehicle technology.


Benz produced the first diesel car named 260D in 1936. A diesel car named CLK320CDI from Benz represented the best technology of current diesel vehicle in Genevese Auto Show in March this year.Direct-injection engine named V6,power output was 165 kw,torque was astonishing 510 Nm and integrative wastage of fuel was 7.2 litres per 100 km,was used in the car.


Diesel engine developed by Citroen,Peugeot from PSA group,is used in popular mini-BMW.Besides,development of diesel car is being done actively by Volkswagen,Fiat,Peugeot and other car brand.Golf,Polo and Passat sighed by diesel TDI can be seen everywhere in Europe.It was forecasted that the proportion of diesel car in European market would raise further in the next five years.


 Trend of diesel power car has come.Diesel engine power is used in 100% all heavy-duty automobile in America,Japan and Europe.Diesel autoes accout for 90% of commercial vehicles and 33% of cars in Europe,90% of commercial vehicles in America,38% of commercial vehicles and 9.2% of cars in Japan.Experts forecasted that diesel engine would become the main power of world vehicles in the next 20 years or even more long time.Governments in developed auto-industry countries attach a high importance to the development of diesel engine and take measure in the aspect of revenue, supply of fuel to promote popularization and development of diesel engine.


2. Consuming group


2.1 Farm vehicle


When farm vehicle was just borne,its life was forecasted by some experts to be 3 to 5 years,ten years at most.In fact,demand of farm vehicle rose largely in successive years in the past decades of years,and still has over 2,000,000 each year although has lessened in recent years.Farm vehicle is still the main conveyance of countryside.The aim of merging farm vehicle with automobile management is to standard farm vehicle management, to improve quickly the level of farm vehicle, to develop farm vehicle business faster and better rather than control and cancel it.


Commerce Department consigned some institutions to investigate the rural automobile market thoroughly.The results indicated that among countryside family conveyance,three-wheel (22%) and four-wheel vehicles (14.8%) took up 36.8%,autobicycle took up 28%,all kinds of tractor took up 14.2%,and automobile took up 20.8% including one quarter of mini-vehicle and one quarter of light-duty truck. The conclusion was that low-speed truck was still the main force of farm vehicle.
